Tonight “Jazz in the Sky” indoors at Terrace in the Sky featured duo guitarists, Howard Alden and Gene Bertoncini, in romantic, Brazilian, and film score tunes. They played solos and duos with seasoned virtuosity. Both musicians are internationally renowned and perform in many styles and genres. Howard Alden has been heard in many Woody Allen film scores, including “Sweet and Lowdown”. The program above attests to Howard and Gene’s vast repertoire. The menu at Terrace in the Sky was designed for this event, with a fine three-course dinner at “Jazz in the Sky” pricing. Of course, the skyline views, as always, were enticing and enchanted.

“Jazz in the Sky” will continue indoors, Valentine’s Day (Special Valentine’s Day Menu, see restaurant website), February 14, 2006, with Freddy Bryant on solo romantic guitar, and March 2007, to re-appear outdoors on the Terrace in April 2007. Keep checking Upcoming Events, click here, for news of “Jazz in the Sky” dates and musicians. Call Terrace in the Sky at 212.666.9490 to reserve a good seat or table. Tell them you saw them on RobertaOnTheArts.com.
