Read a Testimonial Article about Luce.

I recently stopped at Luce, near Lincoln Center, before a ballet. Chris, on the wait staff, served Fantastic Steamed Mussels, in White Wine and a Hint of Garlic, a Steaming Cappuccino, and Hot Italian Bread with Fine Olive Oil. It was a delightful and perfectly light pre-show dinner. A few days later, I stopped after a ballet for dinners to take home. Luce’s fully prepared pasta, fish, chicken, meat, and vegetable dinners include hot Italian bread with a separate tomato paste spread. You can also order a variety of salads and appetizers, from the expansive and tempting menu. See the testimonial linked above for more menu photos and descriptions. You can also explore Luce’s lovely website.

On this takeout experience, I chose a dish at the bar, while they prepared my orders. The Purée of Carrot Soup, Cappuccino, and Hot Italian Bread with Tomato Spread was just right for the visit. My three takeout dishes were Salad of Endive, Fennel, Mushrooms, Artichokes, and Hearts of Palm with Shaved Parmesan; Black Linguine with Arugula, Crab Meat, and Cherry Tomatoes; and Garganelli with Diced Chicken Breast and Sweet Peppers, with Light Tomato Sauce. These generous dishes created bountiful, beautiful dinners. With takeout from Luce, you can watch a movie, watch a baseball game or the news, or listen to an opera or symphony, while you enjoy the finest Italian cuisine on Manhattan’s West Side. Stop by Luce for dining in or taking dinner out, and tell them you saw them on RobertaOnTheArts.com!
