Tonight I caught up with David LaMarche, Conductor of American Ballet Theatre, who will be conducting at the Company's upcoming Fall Season at Koch Theater, Lincoln Center. We had a leisurely Asian Fusion dinner at A A Jing, on 9th Avenue, between 47th and 48th Streets. We were greeted with complimentary glasses of crisp, chilled, White Zinfandel wine. We began dinner with Steamed Edamame, followed by Yellowtail Jalapeño, presented as Thin Slices of Yellowtail with Jalapeño Rings and Cilantro, plus Shrimp and Avocado Roll, both on Jing's Sushi Menu. For our main course, we chose Moo Shu Shrimp, with Chinese Cabbage, Mushroom Fungus, Bamboo Shoots, and Pancakes, plus an entrée of Bali Mango Chicken, with Sautéed Chicken, Fresh Mangoes, Asparagus, and Mango Herb Sauce. For drinks, I chose Pinot Grigio wine, and David chose Sapporo beer. Service was prompt and professional.

A A Jing has two complete menus for dining in and for takeout. One menu has an impressive list of Sushi and Sashimi dishes, and the other menu features Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and even some Indian cuisine. Lunch specials are served from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday (except holidays), with two courses, very reasonably priced. Stop by A A Jing, open every day, and mention RobertaOnTheArts.com for a free glass of White Zinfandel wine with dinner. You can also order lunch or dinner delivery, online, from their website. A A Jing can also cater your home entertaining or special event!
