It was a gorgeous Sunday, much like Georges-Pierre Seurat's renowned painting, "A Sunday on La Grande Jatte" (1884), but it was Central Park in May 2008, when my Fuji S6000 digital camera painted some photos to capture the essence of the day. I began and ended my walk at the Columbus Circle (59th Street) entrance, and the crowds were buoyant and abundant. Families spread picnics, couples were sun-bathing, children rode the carousel, tourists rode the pedi-cabs, and multitudes rode the horse-drawn coaches. The azaleas were in full bloom, and robins and black squirrels enhanced the bucolic ambiance. The people-watching is unparalleled. I also spent some time at the Boathouse-Café with champagne and shrimp cocktail, watching the gondola, row boats, and diving ducks. Enjoy my camera's art.
