Tonight, The American Theatre Wing and The League of American Theatres and Producers opened an exhibit in collaboration with The New York Library for Performing Arts with wine, hors d'oeuvres, and warm remarks. This exhibit is a celebration of 60 years of Tony (Antoinette Perry) Awards for Best Plays and Best Musicals. The window cards of the Best Plays range from that of the 1947 "All My Sons" to the 2005 "Doubt". The window cards of the Best Musicals range from the 1949 "Kiss Me Kate" to the 2005 "Monty Python's Spamalot".
This exhibit coincides with the June 11, 2006 Tony Awards Broadcast on CBS. It closes on Monday, June 12, 2006.
