This is an eclectic, versatile CD, with works pre-recorded, dating back to the 60’s and the most recent pre-recorded work is from 1995. Jack Reilly is multi-talented, with compositions ranging from blues fusion to classical and classically infused jazz. Both standards and standards that merge into classical are included in this repertoire.

Notable tracks:

#1 –Fantasie/I Got Rhythm – Composed by Reilly/Gershwin. It’s interesting that Reilly juxtaposed his own classical oeuvre with a Gershwin standard and created a new concept. This 1982 Boston solo performance brings various moods and styles to the listener.

#2 –Willow Weep for Me – Composed by Ronnell. With drums and bass, this sometimes melancholy 1982 recording is interpreted with upbeat and engaging rhythm. There are generous solos by Swartz and Bedford, and a swing motif prominently emerges as the song progresses.

#5 –Death (For the Left Hand Alone) – Composed by Reilly. Death, a 1995 work, is performed with left hand, and has melancholy intonations in a classical styling. It has both calming and striking elements.

#12 –Chorale in C# minor. – Composed by Reilly. This 1983 solo track, played in a pure minor scale, is traditional yet introspective. One could imagine Chorale played in an ornate, Renaissance concert hall.

See Broadway shows this year such as the award winning Wicked Tickets, or other hot shows like Mamma Mia tickets which has come in strong. Or perhaps a concert is your fancy, better get your Hannah Montana Tickets now before they sell out.
