This versatile and rhythmic CD includes a Hammond B3 organ, performed with upbeat, danceable dynamics, both slow and swinging. Vince Seneri has put together a top-notch ensemble, including the renowned Latin flautist, Dave Valentin, who brings prominent Latin soul to several tracks, and including David “Fathead” Newman and Houston Person, both on tenor sax.

Notable tracks:

#4 – Flamingo – Composed by Edmund Anderson and Theodor Grouya. With a perfect Mambo beat and sensual, soaring sax, Flamingo showcases Seneri’s skills in making the Hammond B3 Organ sound like its own mini-orchestra. Houston Person, Vince Seneri, and Bob DeVos share the lead with generous guitar solos, as the sax and organ close the music.

#5 – Reccato Bossanova – Composed by Luiz Antonio and Djalma Ferreira. Even livelier than the previous Mambo, this Bossanova has infectious melodies and interesting percussion by Gary Fritz. Seneri takes this piece to a dreamlike nightclub fantasy, sharing the lead with DeVos’ guitar.

#6 – These Foolish Things Remind Me of You – Composed by Eric Maschwitz, Strachey Special ACC, and Jack Strachey. In a much slower tempo, his languorous ballad features Person on solo sax, with organ flourishes in echoing refrains. This track is cool, romantic, and soothing.

#8 – Organ Boogaloo – Composed by Vince Seneri. Composed by Seneri, Organ Boogaloo has a bluesy, boogie beat. This would be a perfect Swing piece for competitive dance or West Coast Swing dance events. David “Fathead” Newman, Seneri, and DeVos share the buoyant lead, backed by Buddy Williams on drums and Fritz on percussion, although Newman ends the piece over the fused ensemble.
