Dr. Roberta E. Zlokower September 20, 2004 Today I toured New Yorker Hotel, built in the 1930's, with Ann of Flowers of the World. Tom McCaffrey of New Yorker Hotel showed us the ballroom, meeting rooms, lobby, and other spaces. On previous tours I have seen the Tower Suites and meeting areas. New Yorker Hotel was recently refurbished, and the carpeting and paint are new. Chandeliers, bronze and brass elevators and signs, and sculpted wall moldings are all original, but restored.
New Yorker Hotel is the perfect choice for private parties, weddings, workshops, balls, meetings, and historical sight-seeing in NYC. The bronze escalators and mounted signs, as well as prints of old NY, draw thousands of visitors to the New Yorker each month. The elegant crystal chandeliers, against bright, red or blue carpeting and pristine, sculpted walls, are imposing and impressive. See New Yorker Hotel's Website above for a link to book rooms. Book now for all of the Holidays, before it's too late, and say you saw New Yorker Hotel on RobertaOnTheArts.com!
