This is a CD with a fusion of jazz, swing, and samba, very melodic and replete with lovely solo trombone passages. It's a six-piece band with a Big Band sound. Benny Powell has composed much of the music as a tribute to his granddaughter, Faith.

Notable tracks:

#2 You and Me Composed by Benny Powell. This is a sweet, soft, and particularly percussive piece. The creative rhythm would allow a sexy samba to be danced.

#5 The Gift of Love Composed by Benny Powell. This title piece, with a piano lead, presents a strong bass and Benny on vocals. With its rhumba rhythm, the lyrics evoke a tribute to a child.

#7 Portrait of Vivian -- Composed by Randy Weston. With a long, languorous trombone lead, a mellow mood is developed. TK Blue, on flute, adds additional romance to the already romantic piano and soft, drum brushes.

#10 Lifelong Dream Composed by Benny Powell. This is a very Brazilian samba, danceable and percussive. Benny Powell can be heard on vocals, along with added whistles, percussion, and a richly sounding band, all enhanced by TK Blue's saxophone.
